Intracranial surface electrodes or the subdural cortical.
Cortical electrodes are used for stimulation and recording of central nervous system signals. Intracranial monitoring is used to identify and map functional areas of the brain during pre and post surgical phases and during surgical removal an brain tumors. The surface of the intracranial electrodes are multipolar arrays of electrodes (Grid or strip) positioned on the cerebral cortex and can be used to stimulate or record. The electrode is designed to follow the complex anatomy of the brain. The electrode can assume different conformations in relation to the demand.
1 cm wide strip electrodes for implantation using a borehole. The electrodes have a thickness of 0.45 and a diameter of 0.4 mm. The distance between the contacts - calculated from center to center - is 10mm. The electrode material is made of platinum and the carrier material is PU. The cable length of the electrode is 250 cm and is equipped with a TP connector.
NOT suitable for implantation.
